Oh, for god’s sake.

There is nothing wrong with liking a problematic thing. There is nothing wrong with liking a thing that other people find problematic, but you don’t.

But for god’s sake don’t tell people who are hurt by the thing you like— whether or not you agree that it’s hurtful, whether or not you understand why they’re hurt— that they have no right to be upset, or that their interpretation is wrong, or they just don’t understand the thing like you do, or they are just angry for other reasons.
